If you're a first-time visitor to MetroStyle for a modeling session, PRACTICE DUE DILIGENCE!! Check with other women on Facebook who have worked with me in the past, or ask me to provide references. Never walk into a stranger's studio - man OR woman - without doing some homework ahead of time about what you're getting into.
I'm to happy to provide the following information and pictures to help in this regard, so as to raise your comfort level about your session here, but again... ask around!!
Be aware that I am a single man, at least old enough to be your father, and live alone in a studio in my large private condo. I have lived at this address for 29 years.
I have been a full-time professional photographer for almost 20 years. I free-lanced for many years prior to that and my photos were published numerous times in minor magazines, on calendars, in greeting cards, etc. I secured press credentials many times in the 1980’s and was lucky to get to shoot many of the biggest names in rock music in concert in that time. You’ll see some of those images and mementos on the wall of my home studio.
I am a member of Professional Photographers of America and hold numerous awards for my work, the most recent being the “2017 Best of Weddings” award from theknot.com, America’s premiere bridal website. I have worked with almost 500 brides, and many dozens of high school seniors, children, and families. In the off-season when I'm not shooting weddings, I shoot for local schools and businesses. Ask around on Facebook and you'll find MANY young women who have shot high-fashion, pinup, boudoir, and tasteful nudity with me and who can attest to my professionalism.
I have a private make-up and dressing area here, and do everything to make my photo subjects feel comfortable and safe. If any of this makes you feel at all uneasy, I can provide references upon your request. Models looking to shoot are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to bring a girlfriend. Underage models MUST be accompanied by a parent and I do NOT shoot nudity with anyone under the age of 20.
My family has a lengthy solid reputation in the twin cities - including my sister Laura, the Executive Vice President & Chief Business Officer of the Minnesota Twins, and my brother Mike, the Senior Vice-President of the Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul. The unit below mine belongs to the Mormon Church, where they house four young missionary sisters, the woman across the hall is a retired Sunday School Teacher, and the woman who manages the entire property and the 80-year-old caretaker of the complex live on our first floor. You probably won't find a safer place to work.
